Wondering what rescue pup extraordinaire ‘Pikelet’ has to say about Rose-Hip Vital Canine?

“Okay friends I have a hot health & wellbeing tip for all you conscientious pup owners. The product Rose-Hip Vital Canine is a joint health + general wellbeing powder made from 100% pure & natural ingredients (Rosehip). In our household me & my pup siblings consist of the following:

Shelly Shoe is my 16 (going on 17) year oldest Spinster Sister. Shelly has many lumps & bumps (showing signs of her old age) though she is still is fairly good health and condition.

Betty Boo is my 13-14 year old three legged Spinster Sister. Betty lost her front left leg in a terrible car accident when she was about 1-2 years old. She has been a #tripaw most of her life now and even though she is getting on in age she has yet to show any signs of arthritis or other joint problems.

Patty Cakes is my dorky big-younger pup brother (as you probably already know). Patty is just a little over 9 months of age. With mostly white colouring and short fur, Patty has typical skin issues that many fair complexion dogs have including allergies and irritations from everyday things like grass, sand, and foster ducklings.

This is me, Piklet (aka Pikey, Punkinator)

Myself. I’m nearing my 3rd Gotcha Day (4th of July) which would make me about 3.28767824 years old (approx). When I was rescued I had a condition called ‘Rickets’ which left me with slightly deformed front legs and a slight curved spine. It is almost a given that I will suffer from arthritis at some point and most likely earlier rather than later.

I give you all of the above info so that you can understand my rents reasonings for wanting to find a little extra something to add to our family diet to help improve and maintain a good balance of health. They had heard good things about the family owned business that supplies this product so below is kinda our review:

Since adding Rose Hip Vital Canine powder to our dinner meals, in just a few short weeks my rents have noticed the following
– All of our coats are looking both shinier and noticeably more vibrant. Ma says my fur in particular looks shinier and deeper red #gingerninja
– I’m not licking my front paw joints (Pa calls them my wrists but Ma isn’t sure dogs have wrists) as much as I use to when they were starting to feel a long day’s ache.
– Patty’s skin has not had any new flare ups or rashes and his pink bits haven’t looked inflamed like they sometimes do.
– Betty seems a little brighter and a little more active (but she still acts like a cat so this is only just slightly noticeable).
– We are all still enjoying our meals. This is a pretty BIG thing as believe it or not we are all very fussy eaters in this household and no amount of trickery will get us eating anything that tastes like crud.

So! If any of the above resinates with you and you feel your pup could do with a little health boost then my rents highly recommend you give #RoseHipVitalCanine a good go! For us, this is staying as part of our on going diet. All thumbs and paws up with our tick of approval!

Even the Punkinator gets in there for a taste of the magic orange powder (zooms do usually follow in the minutes after) ;)”

* Just a note that this is not a paid advert, not even in the slightest. This is a product that my rents had been meaning to trial us on for ages and have done so over the past few weeks *

Thought you might like to know about this beautiful girl Juniper, she had been adopted out by Busselton Greyhound Awareness in March 2017 to Jilllian and her young son, a lovely lady who is a trainee nurse, sadly 19 days after adoption she had to have her hind leg amputated caused by a bizarre accident whilst doing Greyhound zoomies in the back yard.

Her beautiful owner although having only had her 19 days had grown to love her so much in that time she decided to fight for her and have her leg amputated, the easy option would have been to obviously have her euthanised. As she certainly hadn’t factored  in the cost of an operation of that enormity when she decided to rescue a Greyhound.

Bizarrely the week before Jillian took her, Juniper was on her way to the vets to be euthanised because she had been disqualified from racing for 12 months for marring, she obviously didn’t like racing for her life. Juniper is extremely lucky to have been adopted by such a caring family.

Juniper has recovered so well and is now back to her normal happy self playing and enjoying walks on the beach.

Last week Junni went in for her Green collar assessment and passed so she is now muzzle free.

For a dog that has literally been at deaths door twice she now has a loving bright  future to look forward to.

Part of that future involves keeping her other limbs mobile especially her one good hip, so she will be on Rose Hip Vital Canine for the rest of her life.

I have been using Rose-Hip Vital Canine for about 2 months now. I have been giving it to my nearly 12 year old Golden Retriever ‰’Tango’. He is not lame and does not have any visable signs of joint issues yet, but he has become slower to get up and not as agile lately over the last 6 months.

After hearing about Rose-Hip Vital Canine, I decided to give it to Tango to maintain good health and to take care of his joints as he gets older. A lot of dogs get joint issues as they get older and so often we wait until they show signs before we treat them. Now, we have Rose-Hip Vital Canine we can look healing and caring for their joints before it is too late. I adore this dog.

He is one of 6 Golden‰s I have and I love them all dearly but Tango has given me so much pleasure and joy in other ways too. He is a Grand Champion in the show ring and has sired many Champions, Grand and Supreme Champions. He has an amazing temperament and was involved in the Responsible Pet Program run in Schools and Kindergartens. He has had spring in his step since I have had him on this product he has almost become puppy like!

His coat is looking healthier and doesn’t seem to want to ‰’sleep in’ these days. He is jumping up onto the grooming table again (but I don‰’t let him jump off). I have also been adding Rose-Hip Vital Canine to one of my girls dinners. After having a litter of puppies Ripley lost all her coat, as all golden girls do after having a litter, but she seems to be growing coat back more quickly this time and it is thick and healthy so I am sure the Rose-Hip is helping.

I love the fact that it is natural and cannot harm the dogs with the nasty side affects from anti-inflammatory drugs. It is completely natural and therefore a maintenance dose is worthwhile as our pets get older. And now I am taking the human version with great results after having knee surgery!

An Update from Barb!

Miss Kirra, my agility girl who retired from agility competition just before her 13th birthday (still able to qualify in Master if I didn’t mess up) has now had her 15th birthday. She is showing her age in having ‘senior’ moments, and sleeping a lot, but if there’s training going on, she’s wanting to join in. She’s been doing weekly underwater treadmill sessions for the last couple of months, and is now doing 20 minutes just fairly slow speed, but very steady, and she enjoys it. She has occasional treatments for a little lumbar sacral soreness, but we’re working on that.

My boy is technically a senior, at 8.5 years old, but still running agility very happily and speedily, and is also competing in obedience. He was the first dog in Tasmania to gain his Rally O Champion in 2016.  We had a scare in October, when he was slightly non weight bearing on his left hind leg. He was diagnosed by a couple of vets with probable partial Cranial Cruciate Ligament tear, and was scheduled for surgery, after a 3 week rest/anti inflammatory period waiting for our vet to be back for surgery.  Fortunately, with the dog anaesthetized, he could find no evidence of CCL tear, so we took the opportunity to xray knees, and for good measure, hips (for comparison with x rays done over 6 years ago.). The x rays showed “beautiful” knees and no evidence of significant arthritic changes.  Rory has been managed reasonably conservatively, and has always done some fitness and conditioning work, in addition to taking his RHCV. I’ve rehabbed him carefully after that scare, and he’s not back in full competition.

Thanks again to you and to RHCV.

Thanks to the human on this page (Dachshunds in the Park) that posted a link to RHVC about a month ago. We decided to get some as we figure anything that can prevent back issues is worth getting. We weren’t expecting to actually notice any difference in Oscar as he has no physical issues apart from bad skin allergies.

Within one week of giving him RHVC, we noticed he hadn’t had his usual rash after being outside (which he gets without fail). I thought it may be the powder but thought it was crazy that something not even meant for that purpose could solve his allergy issues when nothing else could. Well it’s now been about a month and my little itchy, allergy sausage has not had a single rash since starting RHVC! Apparently this is the miracle we’d been searching for and we couldn’t be happier.

We arrived in Australia in August last year and as I am admin with Chrissy to IVDD Australia I soon heard about Rose Hip Vital that the Aussie dogs with IVDD were already using.  So I went straight to read up about it and thought WOW I must start Lottie and Duke on it.  Both dogs fortunately have not suffered as yet from any back problems but we decided to start using as a preventative.

Not to mention they are middle aged dogs now and every little bit helps.  As per below email Duke does have a left leg problem and specialist vets did tell me he would develop arthritis in the joint with age.  Then I decided to start it myself also as I have arthritic knees.  I have been in pain daily for the past 3 years and nothing I took really helped so have just learnt to live with the pain.

However since starting Rose- Hip Vital, I am now pain free and have been now for nearly 4-5 months.  It’s amazing stuff.  Anyway that’s a bit about us and why we started using RHV and why we all still take it daily.

Nanook still loves her harness but only has it on for walkies these days.

Nanook worked incredibly hard for us in her working life and deserves the best. Her retirement life is full of ball catching , teaching the younger dogs and lots hammock laying. We have been incredibly lucky with Nanook and have had no health issues and use Rose Hip Canine as a preventative for our Nooky to keep her strong and healthy.

I have had my 7 year old Jack Russell Gypsy on Rose Hip Vital Canine powder for over a year. She did have some fluid on her joints at one stage which I had drained by my vet. My mother in law who also uses the product for her 14 year old blue heeler recommended it and I have used it as a preventative for joint problems. Within a week of using the powder there was a marked improvement in her well being.

It seemed to perk her up and give her more zest. I have had no joint problems since starting her on the powder. It is a marvellous product with no negative side effects and the 500g powder lasts for months. It’s definitely better to buy the larger size as it is more economical. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others for young or old dogs.

My Charlie means everything in the world to me. I started him originally on Joint Guard at 8 years and then Rose-Hip Vital Canine as a preventative. At Charlie’s age now, he does have a few joint issues, but vets and chiropractors agree he is fit and healthy and to continue competing as he loves it. He has NEVER pulled up sore after a competition and has never suffered any injuries competing.

I am very careful about not overdoing training with Charlie and even though in competitions he must jump the highest height (60cm), I only train him over 40cm. Some dogs do retire young due to joint issues. Some dogs are still competing at 12-13 (just slower).

Many dogs competing in agility are on some form of preventative treatment – many using Rose-Hip Vital. Agility people usually have multiple dogs too so cost does play a part. I have passed on to a few people that they should try the horse Rose-Hip Vital but use the dog scoop, which was a tip from your FB page.

As Charlie is doing so well joint wise, my plan is to keep him on Rose-Hip Vital Canine. There are only a handful of Dalmatians competing in agility in Australia and 2 are mine! They attract a lot of attention.

Would love to see more out there and am doing my best, through FB, to encourage other Dalmation owners to take up this fantastic sport. I have attached a couple of photos of Charlie. He will be competing at the Australian National Agility Trials at the end of June 2014 (5 days of competitions – to be held at the CCCQ Grounds at Durack, Brisbane.

Charlie, my Dalmatian, will turn 11 in October so he is one of the older dogs competing. Charlie has been on Rose-Hip Vital Canine since it first came on the market and will remain on it. I will do anything to keep him fit and healthy and enjoying a sport which he loves.

We have been trialling Rose-Hip Vital Canine for almost four months with a select group of Golden Retrievers in our organizations care. Included in this group were dogs aged between 3 and 13 years of age medically diagnosed with varying degrees of joint pain in the hips, elbows or knees, including one four year old dog with hip dysplasia that also required ACL reparative surgery.

Prior to learning about Rose-Hip Vital Canine we had over the course of ten years tried almost every well-known joint support supplement and conventional drug therapy available to manage the progression and pain of bone and joint conditions seen in some of the dogs coming into our care, and we can say with absolute confidence that Rose-Hip Vital Canine has achieved remarkably faster and significantly better results than any other product we have used, with noticeable improvement in mobility, vitality, sociability, play drive and even eye, skin and coat health. We also noticed a quicker recovery of a dog that underwent ACL surgery compared to previous ACL surgeries carried out. Once the group were transitioned down to the maintenance dose of Rose-Hip Vital Canine we were elated to see continuity in these positive results.

For Golden Ark Rescue and our Goldies the benefits of Rose-Hip Vital Canine have been tenfold, and its effectiveness has enabled us to find an alternative to shellfish based and or glucosamine and chondroitin products. Being a natural product as well RHVC enables us to follow a completely natural and effective joint support and pain management plan without fear of the unwelcome side effects that come with long term conventional drug therapy. RHVC definitely gets the thumbs up from us and as firm believers in adopting preventative measures we also highly recommend introducing RHVC to dogs during early puppyhood, then continuing it through their adult and senior years. Thanks again for a simply wonderful, natural and effective product. Regards, Golden Ark Rescue (Aust) Inc.

She is the kindest is contagious and her zest for life is inspiring. Nanook is one of our rescues and her younger days would out pull 2 of our strongest huskies on the sled.

Miss Kirra turned 12 at the end of February this year. She’s been on RHCV prophylactically for about a year now, having switched over from a different joint supplement, and is still thoroughly enjoying her agility, rally, and Dances with Dogs, and is looking forward to her urban track and search tests in a couple of months.

She competed happily in a double agility trial this past weekend, gaining passes in Masters Jumping and Open Agility, and pulling up without any apparent soreness. My 5 and a half year old BC boy is also on RHCV prophylactically, and is thoroughly enjoying a variety of performance disciplines. Their vets are super happy with their condition. Thank you.
